Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, dropped on its fourth Wednesday, adding Rs. 45 lakh to the tally. This raises its fourth week’s cume to Rs. 6 crore in 6 days, with the whole week expected to be Rs. 6.50 crore nett, bringing its total to approximately Rs. 302.50 crore.
Based on current patterns, the military action drama will earn between Rs. 305 crore and Rs. 310 crore nett at the Hindi box office. Although this is a promising outcome, it is still far behind Deol’s Gadar 2. Border 2, which was produced by T-Series Films and JP Films, became a huge success. The film performed better in northern circuits, where Rajasthan is closer to BLOCKBUSTER, whilst Delhi-UP and East Punjab did SUPER HIT business.
The underperformance has occurred in the core circuits of Gujarat and CPCI, which one would anticipate to perform well for a Sunny Deol film, but has not. It is also Sunny Deol’s second highest grossing film, and the cast’s finest of their careers.
