Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, sold approximately 1.40 lakh advance tickets in the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day. Border 2 is listed seventh in national chains, after numerous other films. The aggregate advances are expected to be higher than all but Chhaava, which recorded a nett advance of Rs. 11.50 crore on its first day.
According to estimates, Border 2 received advances totaling roughly Rs. 9.50-10 crore nett. This is because its advances are more than most other non-national chain films, but Saiyaara’s (Rs. 8 crore nett) differential is primarily due to cheaper ticket pricing.
Border 2 also had a better spread of sales throughout its extended weekend, which includes a major national holiday on Monday. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty appear in the military drama, which is likely to have a successful box office debut. Asper information given by Pinkvilla Predicts, Border 2 is poised for a strong start of Rs. 30-37 crore at the Indian box office, with a net estimate of Rs. 32 crore.
