It was earlier informed that the PM Modi has invited the Prime Minister of UK, Boris Johnson to be the chief guest for Republic Day celebration of India in January 2021. Now in a official statement released by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar it states that the UK Prime Minister has accepted the invitation. He also stated that this will be a symbolic new era, a new phase of a relationship between the two countries. Earlier Boris Johnson had invited PM Modi to join the UK-hosted G7 summit next year.
