Box Office: Rishab Shetty’s divine hit Kantara completes 50 days, nets ₹208 crore in Hindi

Yesterday marked the 50th day that Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has been showing in theaters. During its 50-day theatrical run, the Hindi rendition of the mythological epic narrative, which Rishab himself directed, brought in an incredible Rs. 208.25 crore.

Alongside Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Kantara debuted on October 2, 2025, earning a respectable Rs. 17.75 crore on its first day. The film had a successful run at the box office, earning Rs. 102 crore over its prolonged opening week. It continued to do well, adding Rs. 51.25 crore in the second week and Rs. 26.75 crore in the third.

Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) faced Diwali releases, Thamma, and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat after having a perfect run for three weeks in a row. The film, which co-stars Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah, made a promising Rs. 17 crore in its fourth week. In the fifth, sixth, and seventh weeks, it made Rs. 7.50 crore, Rs. 3 crore, and Rs. 75 lakh, respectively.

Before it leaves theaters, most likely by the end of this month, the film is now anticipated to add Rs. 20–30 lakh to the total. In Hindi, its lifetime will be between Rs. 208.50 crore and Rs. 209 crore net. For those who don’t know, Kantara: Chapter 1 became the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 and a clear hit in the North belt.
