Britney Spears apologises to Justin Timberlake for revelations she made in memoir

Britney Spears praised Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish” on Instagram a few days after it was released. On Monday, Britney posted a video of her ex-boyfriend singing Selfish and other songs with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Furthermore, she addressed her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me and ‘apologised’ for some of the statements she made in the book. The book made news because of its candid disclosures about Britney’s personal life and her relationship with her former partner, Justin.

Sharing the video, she penned, “I wanna apologise for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry… I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song Selfish. It is so good and how come everytime I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard??? PS: Sanctified is wow too.”

Justin has recently released his new song, Sanctified. Unexpectedly, Britney’s 2011 song Selfish just surpassed Justin’s brand-new lead single of the same name on iTunes due to fan support for the 13-year-old song.

Many revelations about Britney’s life and career were made public in her memoir, which was one of the most talked-about book releases of the last year. She talked about several of the most challenging things that happened in her relationship with Justin Timberlake, her ex-boyfriend. Britney and Justin dated from 1999 to 2002, and she revealed numerous moments of their relationship in her memoir, including an abortion she had because he ‘wasn’t ready to have a baby’.
