Bryan Cranston plans to retire from acting in 2026 to spend time with his wife

The ‘Breaking Bad’ star Bryan Cranston reveals he will sell his half of the mezcal business Dos Hombres, close his production company and step out of the spotlight to go elsewhere with his wife Robin Dearden for at least 6 months in order to “level out” his marriage. France will probably be their new home.

In a new interaction with British GQ magazine, the actor said, “I want to change the paradigm once again.” He added that Robin had spent the last 24 years of her life holding onto his tail. “She’s been the plus one, she’s been the wife of a celebrity. She’s had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine. She has tremendous benefit from it, but we’re uneven. I want to level that out. She deserves it.”

The 67-year-old actor and his spouse intend to move to a small village, learn the local language and live a simple life of gardening and cooking.

He said, “I want to have that experience.” He also stated that he would rather go on day trips, have the fire in the fireplace and drink wine with new friends than read scripts.

The actor, who will be 70 at the time, stated that his retirement is going to last at least 6 months and that he will be entirely off the grid during that time.
