 
									The Budget Session of Parliament began at 11 am today, two days before the Union Budget 2021-22 is presented. The pre-budget session began with the national anthem followed by President Ram Nath Kovind, addressing a joint session of Parliament.
All the Member of Parliament are present. However, as many as 18 Opposition parties have announced they will boycott President’s address in solidarity with farmers protesting against the three Union laws.
At 11:16 am, the President said that it is a matter of pride that India is running the biggest vaccination programme in the world against Coronavirus. Facilities of Ayushman Bharat Yojna can be availed in any of the 24,000 Indian hospitals.
In regard with the farm laws, Mr. President said, “these new agricultural reforms will benefit 100 million farmers. Government has implemented Swaminathan-Panel report on MSP and Rs 1.13 trillion have beem transferred under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi.”
