The cabinet on Tuesday approved the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for 10 sectors of worth Rs 1.46 lakh crore. Auto sector has bagged the largest number of the total share of the scheme worth Rs 57,000 crore.
As per the scheme, the cabinet will provide incentives on additional production and will allow companies to export products made in India, they added.
Food products, Pharmaceuticals and White goods among the other sectors to receive benefits.
