Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has requested FM Nirmala Sitharaman to adjourn implementation of rule 86B in GST, saying it is a counter productive measure and will become a burden on Traders. The rule states that businesses with a monthly turnover of Rs 50 lakh will have to pay at least one percent of GST in cash. The traders body requested to defer rule 86B and also extend the last date for filing GST and Income tax audit returns.
