According to reports by CNBC TV18, the investment firm Carlyle Group is in advanced stages for acquisition of Granules India for around $1 billion. Carlyle is likely to buy promoter shares of Granules India. Carlyle recently bought a small stake in Piramal Pharma and acquired global veterinary giant Sequent Scientists. However Granules India stayed muted to CNBC TV18 comment.
