Carrier of 6.2kg gold worth Rs 3.26 crore arrested at Delhi railway station

Customs officers in Delhi have acted on specific information and arrested a man who arrived on Delhi railway station by Rajdhani Express from Howrah, Kolkata. This man was carrying 6.3kg of gold in the form of biscuits and cut pieces. The gold is worth Rs. 3.26 crore and was smuggled in through the northeast, since they seem to be of the “foreign origin”. The man has admitted to have carried two to six kg of gold on 15 different occasions. The receiver has been arrested as well.
