The darkly humorous dating thriller Cat Person, which had its world premiere to tremendous acclaim at Sundance back in January, has now published a first trailer and a release date. It was scheduled to debut in American theatres via Rialto Pictures on October 6th.
Cat Person, a Studiocanal-financed adaptation of Kristen Roupenian’s widely read New Yorker short story, examines the brief relationship between 20-year-old college sophomore Margot (CODA’s Emilia Jones) and the slightly older Robert (Succession’s Nicholas Braun) from both characters’ points of view to comment on the modern dating experience.

Cat Person, directed by Michelle Ashford, also features Geraldine Viswanathan, Hope Davis, Michael Gandolfini, Liza Koshy, Fred Melamed, Isaac Powell, Isabella Rossellini, and Donald Elise Watkins.
