CBI cannot interfere into investigations without state’s permissions

The supreme court stated on Wednesday “As per law, state consent is a must and the Centre cannot extend CBI jurisdiction without the state’s consent. The law is in tune with the federal structure of the constitution,”  This states that the centre has no authority to extend the agency’s jurisdiction to any state without consent; also CBI cannot enter state investigations without sanctioning it from state authorities.
