Atal took control of the innings as wickets kept falling from the other end, as he scored 85 runs out of 95 balls with six boundaries and three maximums. Other Afghani batters including skipper Shahidi, Rahmat Shah and Nabi could not add much to the team total. Then came Azmatullah Omarzai who scored a steadfast knock of 67 runs off 63 balls, helping the team reach a decent total of 273 runs.
If Afghanistan fails to win this match, then Australia will qualify for the semis but a win for Afghanistan will seal its spot in the semis. With the chase underway, both the sides will try to display their best game.
