Channing Tatum collaborates with Ryan Reynolds’ football club Wrexham AFC for a hilarious new commercial

Channing Tatum’s latest collaboration with Wrexham AFC has fans buzzing! Ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over the football club, it has become a hotspot for celebrity appearances, with stars like Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Hugh Jackman showing their support.

Now, Reynolds’s Deadpool & Wolverine co-star and close friend, Tatum, has joined the fun. The Magic Mike actor appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for Stok Cold Brew Coffee alongside Wrexham players, blending humor, caffeine, and his signature dance moves into a viral moment.

In the ad, Tatum plays a passionate coach rallying the players with an unconventional pep talk—by handing them cold brew coffee. “Drink up, and most importantly, try to keep up,” he says before confidently taking a sip. What follows is a hilarious display of his signature dance skills, as he grooves to C+C Music Factory’s Gonna Make You Sweat, channeling his Magic Mike energy to hype up the team.

Speaking to The Athletic, the Blink Twice actor shared his excitement and nerves about filming the ad in Wrexham’s locker room. He admitted that while he got to bond with the players the night before—coincidentally celebrating Elliot Lee’s birthday—he still felt anxious about the shoot. “I knew I was going to have to make a fool out of myself the next day in front of them,” he laughed.

Tatum confessed that he worried the hardworking players might see him as just another “dumb” American actor crashing their serious training. However, his fears were quickly put to rest. “I didn’t know what the vibe was going to be. But they were just so sweet,” he shared, emphasizing how welcoming the team was.

Earlier this year, Tatum visited Wrexham with Reynolds to film the ad, capturing the experience with a series of Instagram posts. He later reflected that beyond the caffeine and dance moves, the trip was truly unforgettable.
