What could be better than a good laugh? Like, a really good laugh. You know, the kind of laugh that makes you double over with joy. Or, even better, one that causes a silent wheeze that makes you start laughing all over again. Almost everything may be cured with a good chuckle.

We’ve compiled a list of our favorite comedies from 2023. Check it out and brace yourself to laugh till your cheeks hurt.

House Party

This remake of the 1990 film of the same name follows two guys who, after being fired from their house cleaning job that included cleaning LeBron James’s mansion, decide to throw a major Hollywood party in the athlete’s home in order to make some fast money.

When You Finish Saving the World

This comedy-drama is written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg and is about a separated mother and son who try to understand each other. Ziggy (Finn Wolfhard) performs music for a ton of fans on live streams, while Evelyn (Julianne Moore) works with domestic abuse survivors.

Murder Mystery 2

This funny sequel continues the story of Nick (Adam Sandler) and Audrey (Jennifer Anniston) Spitz. The Spitz duo opens their own detective agency after becoming de facto investigators in Murder Mystery. When their pal is abducted, their detective abilities are (once again!) put to the test.

80 For Brady

80 For Brady stars Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field, and Lily Tomlin. This adorable comedy follows four friends who will go to any length to watch Tom Brady play in the 2017 Super Bowl. Prepare to laugh from beginning to end.

You People

Jonah Hill (who also co-wrote the film) portrays a guy who meets the parents of his fiancée and vice versa. Things don’t go quite as expected, since both sides of the new couple’s family are quite different.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance

Last Dance, the third installment in the Magic Mike trilogy, takes our favorite male exotic dancer to London for an exciting adventure.

Cocaine Bear

Based on a true event, this horror-comedy follows a bear that goes on a drug-fueled rampage after consuming a large amount of cocaine.

We Have A Ghost

Kevin, a teen boy, becomes an internet sensation after filming a ghost in his new house. It’s all fun and games until he attempts to find out how the ghost died and, of course, becomes the next target for the CIA

Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre

International spy Orson Fortune is tasked with stopping the operation of a deadly weapon in Guy Ritchie’s newest action comedy. To accomplish this, he joins a team of skilled operatives. Together, they seek the assistance of popular movie actor Danny Francesco to save the planet.

Elemental

Fiery Ember always stayed close to home in Firetown, however, her bond with laid-back Wade challenges her notions about the elemental city in which they dwell.
