French champions Paris Saint-Germain have added another player to their squad as they have signed and revealed Italian midfielder Cher Ndour from Benfica on a five-year free transfer deal.
PSG has taken an aggressive recruitment strategy this summer after the departure of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, going all-out to add depth to an already outstanding squad.
Ndour joins a star-studded squad that already includes recent signings Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte, Lee Kang-In and France defender Lucas Hernández as Luis Enrique’s side continues their massive rebuild to achieve their Champions League dream.
The 18-year-old from Brescia has already gained significant experience in Italy’s youth teams and at Benfica, where he won the UEFA Youth League, the Portuguese U19 Championship and the U20 Intercontinental Cup in season 2021-2022.
During the 2020 season, the Italian-Senegalese midfielder made his debut for Benfica’s reserve team in Liga Portugal 2, becoming the club’s youngest-ever player at the age of 16 years and 279 days. In addition, Ndour helped the Portuguese U19s win the UEFA Youth League in 2022, scoring a goal in the final.
