Chetan Sakariya’s father passes away due to COVID-19

He lost his brother in January this year. The young pacer was playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy when his brother passed away. 

On Sunday, May 9, Rajasthan Royals’ pacer Chetan Sakariya’s father passes away due to COVID-19.

As per the source, Rajasthan Royals team management confirmed the development. “It is unfortunate and our prayers with the family at this time.”

Rajasthan Royals took Twitter to share a condolence message for Sakariya’s loss. Rajasthan Royals wrote, “It pains us so much to confirm that Mr Kanjibhai Sakariya lost his battle with Covid-19 earlier today. We’re in touch with Chetan and will provide all possible support to him and his family in this difficult time.”

Sakariya took seven wickets in IPL 2021 before the dismissal of this season of the Indian Premier League.
