China is helping its friend Pakistan by sanctioning a $6 Billion loan so that Pakistan can finish its Main Line 1 railway project. Pakistan is financially weak and is therefore seeking help from its neighbouring state. China has proposed a cocktail of commercial and concessional loans for funding despite Pakistan asking for the cheapest loan. an additional guarantee was asked by China during a finance meeting for the railway project 10 days back.
