China’s efforts to find the origin of coronavirus questioned by US President Joe Biden

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden in a statement mentioned that China was attempting to pitch itself as a responsible country with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet it remains a mystery as to whether Beijing was actually trying to understand the origins of the coronavirus.

In a recent conversation, President Joe Biden was asked if he would refer to Chinese President Xi Jinping as an old friend and ask him a question an “old friend to old friend” about the virus and to re-admit to the World Health Organization investigators about it. To this Biden replied by saying that they two know each other in a professional setting and have known each other for a long time, but other than that it’s just pure business. He also made it explicit that he was doubtful about Chinas cooperation in terms o the WHO investigation.

In May 2021, Joe Biden assigned aides to ascertain answers pertaining to the origin of the virus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic, which was reported to originate in the Chinese city of Wuhan. He added to that by mentioning that the U.S. intelligence agencies are looking at conflicting speculations, conceivably involving a plausibility of a laboratory fiasco in China.

A team led by the World Health Organization (WHO) were in and around Wuhan for four weeks in January and February working in collaboration with Chinese researchers. The report that was written after that mentioned that the virus had presumably been spread from bats to humans through another animal and that the “introduction through a laboratory incident” was extremely doubtful.
