Chinese aircraft successfully lands on Moon, Mission to bring back lunar samples

China’s Chang’e-5 aircraft which was launched on the 24th of November has successfully landed on the moon’s surface yesterday. Their mission is to gather about 2kg’s of samples from the Moon’s surface and bring them back to their country. They also intend to visit the unvisited areas of moon including the Oceanus Procellarum. The aircraft is unmanned and if it succeeds in bringing back samples, China will become the third nation to have possession of lunar samples.
