Chris Hemsworth is a popular Australian actor best recognised for his portrayal of the legendary character Thor in Marvel Cinematic Universe films like the Avengers trilogy. Thanks to his extraordinary acting talents and particularly, his amazing comic timing, this talented actor portrayed the numerous shades of his famed role. Despite the fact that Chris has been playing a great variety of roles, audiences, particularly MCU fans, are anxious for him to return to his role as Thor.
Chris Hemsworth recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly on the possibility of continuing his role as the famous Marvel superhero in Thor 5. For those unfamiliar, the actor previously stated that Thor 4 was far too ‘silly,’ and admitted that it disappointed both audiences and Marvel fans. So Hemsworth is certain that he does not want to repeat his role as Thor in the fifth instalment of the franchise if it is not ‘unpredictable’.
“I’ve got to be careful how I word that because I have no idea what’s happening in the next phase. There are always conversations… Before anything is official, people are throwing around ideas. But officially, I don’t know,” stated the actor, who likewise affirmed that Thor 5 is not currently being ‘officially’ planned. He also added that he didn’t want to continue to do it until people are so exhausted that they roll their eyes when they see him come on the screen as that character.
“If the audience wants to see it, and if there’s something that we believe is exciting and fun, then great. I’ve loved being able to reinvent that character. But I don’t have the answer yet. I would love to try and figure out how we can do that again and keep it a little unpredictable,” concluded Chris Hemsworth.
