Chrissy Teigen exits Netflix show amid the bullying allegations

Chrissy Teigen will not be a part of the second season of ‘Never Have I ever’, an Indian-American comedy-drama series on Netflix.

The Netflix show ‘Never Have I Ever’ would have to replace Chrissy Teigen for voice roles after she quit the show.

She was been chosen as a guest voice for a lead role in one of the episodes of the second season of the comedy-drama series of Netflix. Although the reason for her departure is still a mystery, the recent controversy with Courtney Stodden over bullying is being considered the prime reason for the sudden exit.

Teigen made the headlines following Courtney Stodden’s accusations of bullying against her. She accused her of bullying her on social media by sending her a direct message and tweeting about her. Chrissy has accepted the allegations and publically apologised for the same.

She tweeted in May,”I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I’m so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am.” Later she added,”Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bullshit in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that…”

The controversy is seen as the major reason for the models exist from the highly anticipated show. ‘Never Have I Ever’ is a show revolving around the life of a first-generation Indian-American teen and her family. In the second season the story of Devi( Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) will continue to go ahead she finds herself lost and being pulled apart between Darren Barnet’s Paxton Hall-Yoshida and Jaren Lewison’s Ben Gross relationship. The fans eagerly await the show as the comedy-drama was renewed in July 2020 and its return is looked up to.
