Cillian Murphy, star of Oppenheimer, has mentioned that his desires to be starred in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar.
Starring in Christopher’s films since Batman Begins in 2005, Cillian has been a mainstay. Before the actor was chosen to play the lead in Oppenheimer, which debuted in July, he starred in The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Dunkirk. When Cillian was asked which Christopher Nolan movie he wished he could have been in, he answered “yes” when speaking with the British publication The Independent.
The actor named the cosmic epic from 2014 as the movie that really impressed him.Cillian discusses the effects of Interstellar on him. “The fact that Interstellar is so emotionally charged is why I love it. Back when my kids were small, I seem to have seen it at a movie theatre. I was just greatly affected by it. My heart broke for it.”
“The reason I enjoy seeing his films even when I’m not in them is that you don’t have to worry about things like your ear size”, the actor remarked. Cillian talked about Dunkirk as well. When asked to select another Christopher film for the Oppenheimer double bill, Cillian replied that he would once more go with Interstellar, and if someone would rather see a shorter picture, he would then suggest the 2017 military epic Dunkirk.
He further adds, “You could go Interstellar, which is very… explores similar scientific, physic themes. Or you could watch Dunkirk, which is also set in World War II. Dunkirk is shorter, so that might be a good match ‘cause it’s like an hour-and-a-half, and then you can go into (Oppenheimer).”
