Cillian Murphy says he would love to work with Tom Hardy again on a ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie

Cillian Murphy, along with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is one of the most talked-about movie actors right now. On July 21, all three of them had films released, the former in the biographical thriller Oppenheimer and the latter two in the blockbuster fantasy comedy Barbie. Both of the movies have been raking in massive box office collections.

While Oppenheimer brought Murphy into the spotlight for a lot of people, this isn’t his first famous role. The 42-year-old actor is best known for his role as Thomas Shelby in the blockbuster British crime thriller Peaky Blinders. Murphy recently revealed that he would like to work with his series co-star Tom Hardy again.

In an interaction with GQ, Murphy shared his desire to work with Hardy again and lauded him as one of the best artists in the industry. Hardy portrayed Alfie Solomons in the BBC period drama show from the 2nd season onwards, while Oppenheimer’s star portrayed Tommy Shelby. “He’s one of the best actors in the business,” Murphy said.

“And we’ve developed this great trust and shorthand and there’s a nice kind of chemistry, I think, between the two of us,” he added and proceeded to hint at the much-anticipated project. “I’d love to work with him again. Maybe there’ll be a Peaky Blinders film. Maybe we’ll get to do it there. I’m not sure,” he continued, mentioning the in-production movie that is supposed to be a sequel feature film to the phenomenally successful historical fiction television show.
