The person of the moment is Cillian Murphy. It would be an understatement to suggest that the audience can’t get enough of Murphy because Oppenheimer, in which he stars, has become one of the biggest pictures of the year.
Fans would be shocked to learn that Murphy has already auditioned for the lead part in Christopher Nolan’s film. The actor’s screen test for Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy has gained widespread attention. Due to his character in Oppenheimer, Cillian Murphy’s screen test for Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins has resurfaced online, igniting considerable curiosity.
In the video, Murphy can be seen portraying Bruce Wayne and wearing the Batman costume. He uses a husky voice for Batman that is reminiscent of Christian Bale’s.

Unfortunately, he was not cast as the Dark Knight, as we all know. In a recent interview with GQ, Murphy discussed how Bale ended up playing Batman in the 2005 trilogy instead of him. “Yes, I think it was for the best,” the man responded, “because we got Christian Bale’s performance, which is a stunning interpretation of that role.”
The actor from Inception discussed how his physique was simply unsuitable for the role, saying, “I never viewed myself as the ideal physical specimen for Batman. It was always going to be Christian Bale, in my opinion. Fortunately for Murphy, even though he didn’t match the part of the hero, Nolan was able to convince the Warner Bros. executives during the actor’s screen test that he would make an excellent Scarecrow.
The scarecrow was played by the Peaky Blinders actor in each of the three films. Internet users were shocked to learn about the existence of Murphy’s screen test. While the majority of people supported Nolan’s choice to not use the actor as the vigilante hero, several people also pointed out that the actor would make a fantastic scarecrow.
According to one user, “I like his Batman voice, but he was a perfect match for the scarecrows vibe.” While another echoed their sentiments, “Scarecrow pretending to be Batman,” another made fun of the video.
