Comedian Marc Maron says men who have a problem with Barbie are ‘insecure babies’

“Barbie”, directed by Greta Gerwig, was released on July 21 to amazing reviews and big box office results worldwide.

Now, comedian and podcaster Marc Maron has evaluated the film and called it a “masterpiece,” while also calling the males who seemed to have problems with it “insecure babies.” Marc stated on TikTok, “I saw ‘Barbie’ and I thought it was a f***ing masterpiece.” I don’t use that phrase lightly. It’s as though it accomplishes something quite remarkable in creating a broad-based entertainment product that relates to the entire spectrum. I’m mostly thinking about ladies.”

“And then to permeate it in progressive politics and basic feminism in a way that’s humorous, instructive, and well-executed in a wholly engaging environment is f***ing monumental.” He then went on to criticise the film’s critics, saying, “And the comedy about men is inspired, and the fact that certain men took offence to the point where they, you know, tried to build a grift around it in terms of their narrative as right-wing *** is so embarrassing for them.”

“I mean, it’s really humiliating for them. Anyone who can’t take those hits in that movie needs to check in their pants and figure out what they’re made of. What a bunch of f***ing insecure babies, Jesus Christ” he concluded.
