Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) will fight the forthcoming District Development Council (DDC) polls together with the Congress, said the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah. Last week, the Congress announced to take part in the DDC elections, which are being held for the first time since J&K was declared a Union Territory (UT) on October 31, 2019. Notably, PAGD is an alliance of mainstream political parties in J&K fighting to restore the erstwhile state’s special status.
