Conor McGregor says he would be able to do “big things” if he owned Manchester United, following up on his previous tweet expressing interest in the club.
McGregor, an Irishman, and long-time United supporter sparked outrage when he tweeted about buying the club on the same day Ed Woodward resigned as executive vice-chairman and United withdrew from the European Super League.
He tweeted, “Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?”

Since then, people have made it abundantly clear how they feel about the Glazer family, who own United. The outcry before last week’s planned Liverpool game caused the game to be rescheduled, and an open letter from the Manchester United Supporter’s Club sparked Joel Glazer’s first contact with supporters in 16 years.
