Content creator-turned-actor Raghav Sharma, who built a strong digital following with his mimicry videos, says meeting Akshaye Khanna would be both exciting and nerve-wracking. In a recent interaction with HT City, he admitted that his first instinct would likely be to apologise, even though his impressions come from a place of admiration.
Raghav’s rise began with recreating the actor’s distinct style, something he says he managed to “crack” after closely observing his performances. He believes Akshaye may already be aware of his work, pointing to indirect recognition through social media interactions involving Rahul Khanna.
Interestingly, his journey into mimicry dates back to his school years, long before social media fame. What started as imitating teachers and actors in classrooms gradually evolved into a serious pursuit of acting through theatre. With limited opportunities in front of the camera, he turned to digital platforms, where his content began gaining traction.
A major turning point came after watching Drishyam 2, which inspired him to revisit mimicry with renewed focus. He later expanded his reach by recreating popular scenes from Dhurandhar: The Revenge for online audiences.Despite his admiration for Akshaye’s craft, Raghav openly describes himself as a devoted fan of Ranveer Singh, saying the actor’s energy and presence stand out to him above all.
