COVID-19 vaccine revised rates for private hospital

Here’s the list of vaccine with fixed price given by the Government.

On Tuesday centers announced new price of COVID-19 vaccine for private hospitals  is according to the revised guidelines issued by the Health Ministry, the prices followed are,

  1. Covishield shot at Rs 780
  2. Covaxin jab at Rs 1,410
  3. Sputnik V dose at  Rs 1,145

It was also said that, “The price of vaccine doses for private hospitals would be declared by each vaccine manufacturer, and any subsequent changes would be notified in advance. The private hospitals may charge up to a maximum of Rs 150 per dose as service charges. State governments may monitor the price being so charged.” And also added that, CoWin website will be showing the validations to ensure that the private COVID vaccination centers  do not exceed the maximum price declared by the government.

“It may be noted that the maximum prices indicated above have been worked out on the basis of the prices per dose declared by the manufacturers and can suitably modified in future in case any manufacturer declared changed prices.”

The ministry also said that, “Wastage of vaccine will affect the allocation negatively,” in regards with, the population group of citizens more than 18 years, states and union territories may decide its own factors in the vaccine supply schedule, stated the Health Ministry’s ‘Revised Guidelines for implementation of National COVID Vaccination Program’ which will come into effect from June 21.

The statement showed that there will be 5% GST rates imposed on the vaccine doses such as, “Rs 30 for Covishield, Rs 60 for Covaxin and Rs 47.40-47 for Sputnik V.”
