CoWin enables its users to link vaccination certificate to their passports

The government’s CoWin portal, a part of of India’s COVID 19 mobile app  ‘Aarogya Setu’ has now allowed its users to link their vaccination certificates to passports for use when they travel.

‘Aarogya Setu’ through its official twitter handle informed that individuals can update their passport number in their vaccination certificate.

To link Passport to vaccination certificate :

-Visit the official portal of CoWin : www.cowin.gov.in

– Click on ‘Raise the issue’ option.

-Click on the ‘Passport’ option and then from the drop down menu select the person whose certificate is to be linked.

-Enter the required passport number and proceed to submit the further details.

If any mismatch of details between the vaccine certificate and passport arises then the individuals can also edit the details.

To edit personal details

-Visit the official portal of CoWin : www.cowin.gov.in

-Click on the ‘Raise an issue’ option.

-Click on the ‘Correction in certificate’ option and then from the drop-down menu choose the person whose details are to be corrected.

-Select the particular options that needs correction and then edit the details to submit.

The Government of India had declared the formulated new guidelines for COVID 19 vaccination, earlier this month. The government have requested individuals going abroad for education, jobs or as a part of the Indian Contingent for Tokyo Olympic Games to get their vaccination certificate linked to their passports.
