Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo finished the 2020-21 campaign as Serie A’s top scorer and thus wins the Serie A Forward of the Year. Cristiano Ronaldo has been the most influential player for the team in black and white.
The 36-year-old scored 29 goals as the Bianconeri finished fourth in the league. His 29 goal run wasn’t enough for Juventus to win the trophy because of their shaky performances throughout the season. However, with a win on the final day, they qualified for Champions League, which seems just enough to keep the Portuguese star with them for the next season.
Ronaldo has won the Capocannoniere competition for the first time in his third season in Italy, after scoring 21 in 2018-19, five behind Fabio Quagliarella, and 31 the following season, five behind eventual European Golden Shoe winner Ciro Immobile. He has 81 Serie A goals in 97 outings and 101 overall from 133 outings.
He won the Serie A Footballer of the Year award in 2019 and 2020 and is likely to win it in 2021 as well. He’s added the Forward of the Year award to his long list of honours. His eyes are now on the Euros as he plans to win it, yet again, with Portugal.
Currently, Ronaldo is rumoured to leave Juventus for Manchester United and PSG. However, his girlfriend confirmed recently that he’ll be continuing at Juventus. Where do you think he’ll be playing next season?
