Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes has ruled out his client’s return to Sporting

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has ruled out a return to Sporting CP this summer, stating that the Juventus star would not return to his childhood club.

Cristiano Ronaldo has no intentions to return to Sporting CP this summer, according to his agent Jorge Mendes, after the Juventus forward’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, stated she would attempt to lure him back.

Ronaldo’s future at Juventus is uncertain, given his contract expires in a year. He has been linked with a summer move to Sporting, where he began his senior career. Even at 36, there would be plenty of teams interested in signing Ronaldo, including possible returns to previous clubs Manchester United and Real Madrid.

“I’ll talk to him to bring him back. Next year he will play in Alvalade, “Ronaldo’s mother Aveiro said after Sporting secured the Portuguese Championship for the first time since 2002 on Tuesday.

“Cristiano is very proud of Sporting winning the championship, as he has demonstrated publicly. However, at the moment, his career plans do not go through Portugal,” Mendes revealed this to the Portuguese publication Record.

With 28 goals this season, Ronaldo tops the Serie A goalscoring rankings, but his team Juventus has had a rough season and may lose out on the Champions League next season. Later on Saturday, they will play league champions Inter Milan.
