Critics Choice Awards Rescheduled Amid LA Wildfire

The ongoing Los Angeles Wildfire has had a significant impact on the city, including delays to several major events. One of the most notable is the Critics Choice Awards, which was initially scheduled for January 12, 2025, before being postponed twice due to the wildfire.

The award ceremony is now set to take place on February 7, 2025, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Despite the delays, comedian and actress Chelsea Handler will still host the event, ensuring that it balances celebration with a respectful acknowledgment of the ongoing challenges the city is facing.

The Critics Choice Awards will be broadcast live on E! and will be available for domestic and international viewers the following day on Peacock. Alongside this, other key events, including the American Cinematheque Tribute to the Crafts and the Universal party with Donna Langley, have also been delayed.

Even the American Film Institute Award Luncheon has been rescheduled to February 6, 2025.
