The show centres on a family guy whose past haunts him and his loved ones. Before his troubled history finally comes up with him, Charly leads a serene, contented existence in Berlin with his family. His family is now being threatened by an old acquaintance, which forces him to pull off one more crime. In this new series, criminal gangs in the heart of Europe engage in violent battle over a highly sought-after coin. A retired master safecracker reluctantly teams up with a low-level mobster for one last audacious heist as tensions rise.

The protagonist Frederick Lau, who plays Charly, is part of the cast of this Netflix show. His iconic roles in Heart of Stone, The Wave, and Victoria are well-known. Joseph is played by Christopher F. Krutzler. Svenja Jung and Kida Khodr, well-known German actresses, are also featured in the series. The other members of the supporting cast include Jonathan Tittel (Höllgrund) as Jonas, Karl Welunschek (Freud), Nicolas Wanczycki (Lupin) as Serge, and Klara Mucci as Alina Lonescu.
