The American actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has settled a lawsuit against him for raping a woman in a New York City hotel room ten years ago.
Gooding Jr. is popular for his roles in Jerry Maguire and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. He has also won awards, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Jerry Maguire in 1996. Apart from this, he was nominated for his 2016 portrayal of O.J. Simpson in the series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
On Tuesday morning, the actor and the victim resolved the issue within themselves just before the court trial. As per the source, in 2013, the actor asked the lady to join him at a hotel in Manhattan. It was then that he raped her. Though Gooding’s lawyers claimed that the sex was consensual, Earlier, a large number of women accused Gooding of groping or raping them in August 2020.
