While keeping details under wraps, Aslam hinted, “We will happily announce it to the world once things are locked.” This news has sparked excitement, especially as fans have long hoped for Khan’s return to the big screen.
Aslam’s debut film, Break Ke Baad (2010), featuring Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone, didn’t immediately succeed at the box office but has since become a beloved rom-com. Aslam shared that he and Khan have often received messages from fans in their 20s and 30s, expressing nostalgia for classic romantic comedies without heavy themes or action scenes. These fans miss the simpler love stories they grew up with, and Aslam believes there’s a big demand for such films today.
Aslam also discussed the decline of traditional rom-coms, saying that modern films often include social messages or are action-packed, leaving little room for classic romances. His upcoming collaboration with Khan may just fill that gap, bringing back the rom-com charm.
Meanwhile, Aslam’s next film, Khawabon Ka Jhamela, starring Sayani Gupta and Prateik Babbar, will be available for streaming on JioCinema starting November 8, 2024. Fans eagerly await more news about his project with Khan, hoping it marks the revival of lighthearted romance in Bollywood.
