David Alaba, the Bayern Munich defensive star is all set to join the Madrid side after this season ends, he’ll be joining the club as a free agent.
The verbal agreement between Alaba, his manager and the club was completed in January, Real Madrid were after him from the past season and they managed to seal his services.
He has played 428 games for the Bayern Munich side and has scored 33 goals in that. He has also won nine Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League title with the German powerhouse.
Bayern Munich tried to extend his career but they couldn’t seal the deal. Barcelona, Chelsea, PSG and many other European clubs were also after the Austrian star but he chose Real Madrid over the other clubs as he always wanted to play in spain.
His salary will be around €12m plus other incentives that he’ll receive in a year.
This will be his first time playing outside Germany as he has always played in the German club, Bayern Munich from youth and went on a loan for one season to Hoffenheim, that was also a German club from Bundesliga.
Alaba will be helping in the defensive duties along with Varane, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos. He will strengthen the Madrid defense with his speed and experience that he will be bringing in with him.
