On Days of Our Lives this Wednesday, February 5, an unsettling wave of illness strikes Salem, starting with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), who regains consciousness but suffers from alarming symptoms. His condition sends Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) into a panic, rushing him to the hospital. As more residents begin to fall ill, Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) springs into action to investigate, suspecting that a sinister poisoning plot might be at the heart of the outbreak.
Sarah’s investigation reveals that Johnny isn’t the only one suffering. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall), and Seth Burns (Bruce Beatty) also collapse with similar symptoms. The situation worsens as Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) are affected, though their conditions are less severe. All the signs point to a common cause, and soon Sarah concludes that poisoning could be behind the crisis.
Meanwhile, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry) make a shocking discovery when they confront Nurse Whitley King (Kim Coles) at Bayview. Whitley, once a dedicated Body & Soul fan, has been secretly plotting her revenge after the show underwent changes she despised. Her method of retaliation involved sneaking into the facility and poisoning those connected to the show. Inside her room, Abe and Paulina find a chilling board full of crossed-out photos, alongside a vial of poison—concrete evidence of her role in the attacks.
With Whitley’s plot exposed, the focus turns to saving the poisoned victims. Thankfully, Sarah may have the antidote needed to reverse the effects, bringing the Body & Soul mystery to a close. But as always in Salem, more twists and turns are sure to come.
