DBS Bank Singapore invests Rs 2500 crore in DBS Bank India

DBS Bank India has received investment funds from DBS Bank Singapore. DBS Bank Singapore has infused about Rs. 2500 crore and following that all the share capital and reserves of the bank will be written off. This transaction involves infusion of Lakshmi Vilas Bank with DBIL. Subramanian Swamy had personally written a letter to the Prime Minister to put the merger on hold but the Cabinet has approved the merger and it will continue.
