During a candid conversation with Harper’s Bazaar India, the actor spoke about how her priorities have shifted since welcoming her first child, calling her daughter her only obsession.
When asked about her current fixation, Deepika dismissed the word “current” altogether, saying that her obsession is simply her daughter. She went on to share several personal and light-hearted moments that reflect her deep bond with Dua. One such moment involved the most unexpected item in her handbag, a piece of thepla that Dua had been eating and which accidentally landed in her bag.
Deepika also revealed how her everyday life has changed since becoming a mother. Her favourite karaoke song these days is the nursery rhyme Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, while the phrase she finds herself repeating the most is a heartfelt “I love you” to her baby.
Beyond motherhood, Deepika spoke briefly about alternate career paths she might have explored. While she believes she could have been an interior designer, her husband Ranveer Singh thinks she would have made a strong lawyer.
