Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh created a stir online on Friday after Deepika posted an emotional and appreciative review of Ranveer’s latest film, Dhurandhar. Her heartfelt message arrived just hours after watching the movie and quickly became a talking point among fans.
In her Instagram Story, Deepika called the film “worth every minute of those 3.36 hours” and urged audiences to head to theatres immediately. She also penned a warm note for Ranveer, saying she felt “incredibly proud” of him, adding a kiss emoji to express her affection. The actor extended her congratulations to the entire team behind Dhurandhar, appreciating their effort in bringing the intense drama to life.
While Dhurandhar opened to modest numbers with advance bookings slightly above ₹9 crore for its 5000-screen release, the scenario shifted within hours. Morning occupancy remained below 16%, but positive audience reactions led to a strong afternoon jump, pushing occupancy past 28%.
By 6 pm, the film had collected an impressive ₹17.44 crore net in India, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. The sharp rise has increased the likelihood of Dhurandhar crossing the ₹20 crore mark by the end of Day 1. Interestingly, trade experts had earlier predicted a total of ₹15–18 crore, making the film’s late-day surge a pleasant surprise for the industry.
