The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange signal for Delhi, warning of light to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. The nowcast alert is good till 10 a.m. The IMD predicts wind speeds of 40 to 60 kmph throughout this time period. In its comprehensive forecast, the IMD stated that weather conditions are likely to remain unsettled throughout the day. Another stretch of very light to light rain is predicted during the afternoon and evening.

The meteorological department also warned of shallow fog in the morning, warning citizens to use caution when commuting. The weather department has issued a yellow advisory for the day, predicting thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty gusts at various times. It also warned citizens to exercise caution, especially during periods of high winds and thunderstorms.

According to the IMD, a yellow notice, while not immediately harmful, warns citizens and authorities to keep informed about meteorological changes. In contrast, an orange notice indicates more severe conditions, with authorities urged to prepare for emergency measures and the public warned to avoid needless travel.
