Dharmendra passes away on Sholay writer Salim Khan’s 90th birthday

Today, November 24, Bollywood’s He-Man, one of the best and most attractive actor in the Hindi film industry, Dharmendra, passed away. The seasoned celebrity was allegedly recuperating at home after being released from Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital earlier this month.

However, his condition worsened this morning, and an ambulance was then observed coming to and leaving his Juhu home. Dharam Paaji’s wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol were seen visiting the Pawan Hans Crematorium, followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan, however the family has not yet released an official statement regarding the supposed death.

Salim Khan, 90-year-old Sholay writer and Salman’s father, also paid his final respects at the funeral home. Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, starring Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Kajol, brought Dharmendra and Salim Khan back together in 1998. Salim ji talked candidly about his relationship with Dharam Paaji in a behind-the-scenes video from the set.

Salim Ji says in the video,“Dharam ji se mera bohot hi purana association hai, 1958-1959 se. Both of us had come together, both of us have seen a lot of struggle. Aur bohot si cheezein common bhi hain. Aur, ab kya kahun ki usme se kaun si ek major cheez common hai. Toh bohot si cheezein common hain. He’s a wonderful person and jab bhi inko khayal aaya ki iss film mein kis ko liya jaaye toh inko pehla khayal Dharam ji ka hi aaya. He’s like a family member and like an elder brother to us. That’s all I can say about him.”

Dharmendra died just two weeks before turning 90, whereas Salim Khan turns 90 today. The loss has left a hole in all of our hearts, and we wish the Deol family courage and serenity as they deal with it.
