Agastya Nanda, the grandson of his Sholay co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan, makes his big-screen acting debut in the film.
The film centers on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan War and is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The father of Arun Khetarpal, the lead character, is portrayed by Dharmendra. On December 25, 2025, Ikkis is scheduled to open in theaters.
