Dhurandhar box office: Ranveer Singh’s film becomes biggest Bollywood grosser in India, surpasses Jawan

Dhurandhar collected Rs. 19.50 crore nett on its fourth Saturday, bringing its total to Rs. 636 crore approx. Needless to say, this is another daily record for the picture. Dhurandhar now holds every single daily record for Hindi films, dating back to the first Thursday of release.

It is also a daily record for all of India, the fifth to date with many more to follow. The gain from Friday was over 30%, which is relatively reduced, but this is due to the holiday element. Even yet, the Saturday jump exceeded forecasts from yesterday. The film has the potential to earn Rs. 100 crore in its fourth week.

To put things in perspective, the previous record for the fourth week was Rs. 50.75 crore nett, and Dhurandhar is expected to double or more of that amount. Dhurandhar became the highest-grossing Bollywood film in India yesterday, overtaking Jawan. It is presently on track to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India, possibly as early as the fifth week.

Beyond that, there is the Rs. 800 crore nett threshold, which appears to be challenging, unless the picture surprises once more. The film faces little competition in January and should be able to maintain its momentum until Border 2 in Republic Day week.
