Did Shah Rukh Khan call Ram Charan an ‘Idli’ at Ambani’s pre-wedding bash? Watch the viral video

Stars from all across the nation and the globe attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s three-day pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar. Guests at the event included Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Rihanna, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ram Charan, Rani Mukerji, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, among others.

On the second day, the audience saw the reunion of Salman, Shah Rukh, and Aamir on stage after many years as they performed. The trio first tried to perform the hook step from the RRR song Naatu Naatu by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. At one point, Ram Charan came on stage with them and they all performed the song’s hook dance together.

Shah Rukh Khan called Ram to join them on stage and dance with them. Jokingly, Shah Rukh threw a few words that seemed to be in Telugu or Tamil. Pinkvilla posted a video of the same on Instagram. Ram’s makeup artist, Zeba Hassan, reacted on the video, “I’m a huge SRK fan, but I really disliked the way he called Ram Charan on stage.”

According to the Free Press Journal, Zeba expressed disappointment towards the superstar.  Taking to her Instagram Stories, she penned, “‘Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu (Saying names of snacks, Ram Charan where are you)???’ I walked out after this. So disrespectful towards a star like @alwaysramcharan.”

She also added a statement on Instagram but later deleted it. It reads. “It’s funny how everyone wants to pay us ‘lesser’ because we’re from south India whereas they’re okay to pay triple the amount for the same thing to an artist if that artist is Delhi or Mumbai based.”
