Did Tim Allen Spill Beans Over Plot Of Toy Story 5?

Tim Allen recently shared some exciting details about the upcoming Toy Story installment during an appearance on Good Morning America. The actor, beloved for his role as Buzz Lightyear, teased fans with insights about the highly anticipated sequel, despite Pixar’s usual tight-lipped approach.

Allen revealed, “I’m already in the third act now. It’s remarkable what they’ve done. With Pixar, they didn’t tell me I couldn’t say anything but… I wish I could. There’s a lot of real intrigue with Buzz. Jessie’s in big trouble, and she needs help, so it’s a really cool thing.” His comments suggest that the storyline will focus heavily on Jessie and her challenges, while also exploring deeper layers of Buzz’s character.

He also touched on the balance of sci-fi and storytelling, reflecting on audience reactions to Toy Story 4. “You know, I’m a sci-fi guy and always wonder, like with Star Wars, ‘did you go too far?’ Some people think we might have with the last one,” he said, hinting at how the team has approached the new movie with care.

The sequel was officially announced at the D23 Expo last year, with Andrew Stanton, known for Wall-E and Finding Nemo, confirmed as the director. While Pixar has kept most of the plot under wraps, Allen’s comments have sparked curiosity about Jessie’s central role in the storyline.

Fans can expect to see the new film in theaters in June 2026. Meanwhile, the earlier Toy Story movies are available to stream on Disney+.
