We have been patiently awaiting the release of Loki season 2 ever since the first season of Marvel’s Loki aired in June and July of 2021. Praise be! Although there was only going to be one season of the show, we were surprised to learn that there would be a second one when the finale aired. The start of season 2 has already been confirmed by Disney Plus on October 6, 2023. Every week on Fridays, new episodes will be posted.

Unusual for Disney Plus, the company also said that the whole Echo season, which is a Hawkeye spinoff, will be available on November 29, 2023. It won’t adhere to the customary schedule of weekly releases. The now Oscar-winning Ke Huy Quan will appear in Loki season 2 alongside Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The cast of Loki will also include Blindspotting actor Rafael Casal and Scottish actress Kate Dickie (The Northman, The Green Knight).

There have long been suggestions that Loki season 2 would somehow set up Deadpool 3. According to reports, Owen Wilson, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman will all appear in the follow-up, and time-traveling wibbly-wobblys will help explain how Wolverine has risen from the grave.

Loki was detained by the Time Variance Authority in the first season for offences against the revered timeline. In an effort to bring in Loki variations, he eventually teams up with Owen Wilson’s Mobius, with Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie serving as the leader.

Kang the Conqueror, who would later serve as the major antagonist in Ant-Man 3, was first featured towards the conclusion of Loki. Season 2 will include a Victor Timely-branded Kang variation. We’ll be hopeful that Natalie Holt’s music and Kasra Farahani’s production design will both be back for season 2 since they were two aspects of the previous season that received a lot of attention.
